Major Lazer feat. Marcus Mumford – Lay Your Head On Me
Directed by Filip Nilsson and choreographed by renowned dancer Ryan Heffington (LSD, Sia, Florence & The Machine, FKA Twigs, Christine & The Queens), the official music video for Lay Your Head On Me is an uplifting tribute to creators, dancers and musicians all around the world, who contributed in their hundreds answering a simple request from the director: “Do your best, it doesn’t need to be perfect. Be yourself. We like you as you are.”
Produced by creative studio Object & Animal, we at Push were glad to assist with casting across China and Japan, and give our thanks to everyone who we reached out to and who submitted so many unique and creative videos for the project. The official music video features over 200 different contributors, and has already racked up over 3-and-a-half million views in under a month – a testament to everyone around the globe who found ways to participate while still adhering to lockdown conditions.
It just felt like the right timing and the right project, and it didn’t seem that it was ego based. It just felt like, let’s put a smile on people’s faces. I was like, OK, I’m doing it. It’s exactly what I want to do right now.
